How to Change Folder Icons On Your Mac
When you have downloaded a folder icon pack that you like, it’s time to change the icons of your existing folders. This process is pretty simple and doesn’t require any third-party software. Just follow the steps below:
- Right-click on the folder that you want to change the icon for and select “Get Info” from the pop-up menu.
- In the “Get Info” window, click on the folder icon in the top-left corner so that it becomes highlighted.
- Now press “Cmd + C” to copy the icon.
- Next, open the folder where you have saved the new icons that you want to use.
- Select the icon that you want to use for the folder and press “Cmd + I” to get info for that icon.
- In the “Get Info” window, click on the icon in the top-left corner so that it becomes highlighted.
- Now press “Cmd + V” to paste the new icon.
- Close the “Get Info” window and you will see that the folder has been updated with the new icon. And that’s it! You have now successfully changed the icon for a folder on your Mac. If you want to change the icons for multiple folders, then you can follow the same steps for each folder.
